Valmont Bike Park is OPEN

After years of wrangling, dreaming, and scheming, the 40-acre Valmont Bike Park is finally open. With the help of the city of Boulder, the International Mountain Biking Association (IMBA), the Boulder Mountainbike Alliance (BMA), a bunch of generous donors, and an intrepid crew of volunteers (Bobby Noyes, Chris Grealish, Elizabeth Train, Pete Webber, and many others), Valmont is now one of the nation’s premiere cycling venues. Huckmasters have already posted VIDEOS of many of the freestyle areas, but you’ve got to get out there to believe it. The ‘cross venue will be world-class and there’s apparently terrain for a mountain-bike short-track, as well.

Pedal out to give a look and make sure to patronize the businesses that helped make it happen–Vecchio‘s and Rocky Mounts to name just two. If you see somebody GOING OFF, it’s probably me…but don’t bother saying hello. When I’m hucking the gnar like that, I tend to be in the zone…so just assume it’s me and fire me a note on FB or something. I’d be happy to tell you how huge I went over email…just the kind of guy I am. Word!

This is not the Valmont Bike Park…but unless I upload some sort of photo, there’s no thumbnail when I post. So here you go: Rebel above Doudy Draw!
