Rock Climbers Unite in Jefferson County This Wednesday

The Access Fund is asking all of us Front Range climbers to attend a public comment session with Jefferson County this Wednesday evening, November 16, at 6 p.m.

“JeffCo” has a progressive, inclusive management program as it stands, one balancing new routing, access, and preservation. Let’s keep our voices in the mix and let them know we’re a great user-group with whom to work!

You’ve probably climbed on many of the world-class formations under JeffCo’s management—beautiful crags like the Cathedral Spires, North Table Mountain, and the fabulous rock up Clear Creek Canyon. Boulder rock climbing guides and Front Range climbing guides also work throughout JeffCo, making it a great resource for recreationalists and guides alike.

The kind folks at Jefferson County Open Space will host the meeting in their offices at 700 Jefferson County Parkway #100, in Golden. The meeting starts at 6 p.m.

For those of us who can’t make it in person, please share your concerns, thoughts, and vision via email at climbing@jeffco.us.
