No, this is not a post about the intricate politics of former-Soviet stomping grounds, as I know jack about such things. This is, however, a fun little vid from North Ossetia, in which you’ll see some enterprising young gents blasting away at a peak above. They’re doing avy control of some sort, but I’d venture a guess they’re not quite as dialed as our friends in Switzerland, BC, or down on Red Mountain Pass.
