For everybody who put in some effort and/or attended the Bean Fever fundraiser–congrats, you helped amass $27,000 to help Bean and Helen Bowers…and did a great thing! I didn’t get to the fundraiser itself, but managed to run a load of water from Eldorado out to the Avery Brewery. Bummer for me, because Helen and Bean showed up during the evening and it would’ve been nice to meet him.

“On behalf of the Bean Fever event organizers, I want to give a shout out to all of you who donated your time to helping spread the word about Bean Fever, collected auction items and lent a hand in pulling off the event. The fundraiser was a HUGE success and the turn out exceeded expectations with about 350 people in attendance. Bean and Helen showed up to the event and in addition to hoisting many Avery beers in Bean’s honor, we raised over $27,000 for our good friend.
It’s been truly amazing to see the support and healing vibes we’ve been able to rally for Bean. Thank you. I was hanging out with Bean the weekend after the event and he was touched and psyched by the community he has behind him.
