The word to sum up today: WIND! It’s still cold in the room when we woke up despite being at what I considered a lower elevation…and then I remembered we were still at 9000′.

It was cold this morning at the start. We had a bowl of porridge and toast for breakfast. We all sat on the thrid floor deck in the sun (and freezing) until the start.

Today was the first major day with a hike-a-bike. We started in Besi Sahar with the long downhill. My feet were aching on the DH.
