Trail Mix January 2012

If this January Trail Mix is any indication, 2012 is going to be a very, very good year for music here in Elevation Outdoors’ little corner of the cyber-universe.

Featured this month is an eclectic array of artists. We are incredibly excited to kick off the January mix with a new cut from Ani DiFranco off her first release since 2008, Which Side Are You on?. Other big names that made the mix are moe, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Willie Nelson, Nada Surf, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, and Martin Sexton.

Along with this cloister of well known stars are some up and coming artists worthy of your attention. 2012 promises to be a big year for Canadian folksters Whitehorse, and few bands are generating the buzz right now than Stew & The Negro Problem.

Also check out new stuff from Asheville’s Dave Desmelik, Charlottesville’s The Downbeat Project, and cuts from Big Daddy Love, Dark Water Rising, BIG Something, and Lizzy Ross Band off the recent Homegrown Music Network’s Home Grown 10.
As always, download at will and please feel free to spread the word about Trail Mix – link us up wherever you see fit to be social here on the internet. And, of course, if you dig what you hear, seek out a record or two or three and buy them from your favorite local record store. These fantastic artists would appreciate it!

Happy New Year!
