There’s lots to love at Loveland Ski Area

Near to the hearts and homes of generations of Colorado skiers and riders, Loveland Ski Area has been Denver’s local mountain for over 80 years. Just 53 miles from Denver, Loveland serves some of the best conditions in Colorado from October through May and this year there’s more to love at this independent and authentic Colorado Gem.

NEW HIGH-SPEED QUAD

Loveland was busy this summer installing a new high-speed quad. Chet’s Dream, named for ski industry pioneer and Loveland patriarch Chester R. “Chet” Upham, Jr., is Loveland’s first high-speed lift and replaces Lift 1 which was a fixed-grip triple. This new lift will get you to the goods in under three minutes, so get those legs ready for fast laps on Cat’s Meow and Over the Rainbow.

SNOW

Loveland averages 422” of the fluffy white stuff every season, good for second most in the state. This helps them get open early and close late. Early October storms have hit Loveland hard this year and have them poised for a mid-month opening.

FREE SNOWCAT SKIING

The Ridge Cat provides free snowcat access to some of Loveland’s best terrain along the Continental Divide. Instead of hiking, stop by the Ticket Office and grab your free Ridge Cat Pass and head up to 12,700’ via Lift 9 where your free ride to fresh powder awaits. The Ridge Cat runs Wednesday-Sunday as conditions permit and provides access to Field of Dreams, Velvet Hammer, Tickler, Golden Bear and Marmot.

SEASON PASSES LOADED WITH 99 FREE BONUS DAYS

Loveland Ski Area joined the Powder Alliance this season and now in addition to unlimited access to Loveland, season pass holders can explore the other 18 member resorts in Colorado, the West and beyond. Loveland also partnered with another 16 ski areas to provide pass holders with a whopping 99 bonus days at 33 partner mountains.

COLORADO’S BEST LIFT TICKET DEAL

If you aren’t quite ready to commit to a season pass, Loveland’s 4-Pak is Colorado’s best lift ticket deal. 4 lift tickets for $169. Use the tickets yourself on 4 different days or share with friends and family all on the same day, any day of the season. No restrictions and no blackouts. Want an even better deal? Visit them at one of many Front Range sales events and save $10 on each 4-Pak.

LOVELAND VALLEY

If you are new to snow sports and not quite ready for the Ridge Cat, there is no better place to get started than Loveland Valley. Loveland Valley is a separate area just for beginners with its own lifts and gentle slopes perfect for making those first turns. Beginners don’t have to worry about intimidating runs crossing their path or sharing the slopes with more advanced skiers and riders. And if you need help improving your technique, the Loveland Ski & Ride School’s expert instructors are ready to help you learn, laugh and have a great time.

Come find out why there’s more to love at Loveland this season.
