Postcards From the Weekend: Sunsets Over the Pacific

There’s a chill in the air, but the drive up the Pacific Coast from San Francisco is exceptional. Through winding roads and hair pin turns, the highway hugs the ocean, sometimes leaving it behind for little while, only to return to the turquoise waters that gently wave to travelers driving along the coast. Though the mountains call, they’re never far away, and campsites and national and state park lands offer travelers on this road plenty of places to enjoy the natural surroundings and rest up for the night. But at the end of the day, before the tent goes up, the campfire get ignited, and the cans of craft beer get cracked, the sunset calls–and time stops as the sun slowly tucks itself into the ocean for the night.
