10 Barrel Brewing’s “Beercat” Will Make its Debut on Colorado Slopes This Week

With record snowfall at resorts across the state, and season passes on sale for the 2019-20 season, prime shredding season is far from over. And 10 Barrel Brewing Co. is keeping the stoke alive this spring with the introduction of the “Beercat” — a Tucker-style snowcat turned mobile mini-pub, which will make its debut at select ski areas across the West through mid-April.

In addition to stops in California and Idaho, the Beercat is also scheduled to make three stops in Colorado during its inaugural run: Aspen (March 15), Eldora (March 16-17) and Silverton (March 20).

Skiers and snowboarders hanging slopeside on those dates will get to enjoy some of the latest 10 Barrel offerings without having to clunk over to the nearest watering hole for an adult après beverage.

“We took one of our famous mini-pubs and put it on the back of a snowcat,” the brewery stated on its website. “The Beercat was created for epic days on top of mountains.”

The brewery’s new mobile bar may not come as much of a surprise to most, considering 10 Barrel’s beginnings in their outdoorsy hometown of Bend, Oregon. In addition to brewpubs in Bend, Portland, San Diego and Boise, 10 Barrel also operates a brewpub in Denver’s beer-blessed RiNo neighborhood.
