Horsetooth Reservoir - South Bay Swim Beach

The Poudre Heritage Alliance and Blue Federal Credit Union invite you to put on your beach duds & join us at Horsetooth Reservoir for an evening of fun, learning and saving lives on Fri, August 24.

We are proud to be hosting the First Annual “Splash-In” water safety festival to support “Play it Safe on the Poudre.” With your help we can expand opportunities for safer and more sustainable recreational usage of the Poudre River, and raise awareness about river heritage.

The event starts at 6:00 PM on Friday, August 24, 2018 at the South Bay Swim Beach (& pavilion) on Horsetooth Reservoir.

The FREE Festival in the Pavilion area will include: water rescue demonstrations, swimming, cornhole, face painting and henna tattoos, several water-themed activities and summertime tunes to get your toes tappin’.

To quench your thirst and palettes, vendors such as Snowbank Brewing and food trucks such as The Goodness Truck and Average Joes will be serving up ales, burgers, brats, funnel cakes, pizza, sandwiches, kettle corn, artisan popsicles and more!

As the sun goes down, take your pre-purchased movie ticket down to the beach for the biggest and bite-iest movie ever made – “JAWS.” Movie tickets range from $10 for a seat on the beach to $120 for your very own raft to float on with your friends!

Watch cinema’s greatest Great White on a giant inflatable screen. If the idea of dangling your legs in the water while watching a movie about a giant shark gives you the heebie-jeebies, that’s OK. Enjoy it from a raft or the comfort of a beach blanket on the shore!

FREE shuttle bus transportation for ticketed moviegoers will be provided. The shuttles will depart from and return to the CSU Transit Center during the hours of 5:30pm to 11:30pm.

We know you’re chomping your teeth to join the fun!
