Thompson Park, Marble, Colorado
Join us for a great day of running through the spectacular fall colors in the heart of Colorado’s mountains. Run, walk, or hike the 25k loop around Lead King Basin or cheer the kids on as they run the 2.5k kids loop around Marble. Our race is 100% volunteer staffed and all proceeds benefit the Marble Charter School!
The 25k dirt road course starts at Thompson Park in the quaint and historic mining town of Marble. Rounding Beaver Lake, you will climb 2,900 vertical feet over approximately 4 miles into beautiful Lead King Basin. Here you will traverse at 10,000 feet before rolling down past waterfalls, through the old mining town of Crystal and pass the famous 110-year-old Crystal Mill to then climb out of the river valley and scream back down Daniel’s Hill to the finish line. Linger in Thompson Park after the race and enjoy a delicious homemade lunch including Slow Groovin’ BBQ (lunch included with entry).
