Handmade Skis from Colorado Trees! Meier is striving to make the most eco-friendly, high-performance skis in the world. The company was born in a garage in Glendwood Springs in 2009, but quickly outgrew its humble beginnings as skiers clammored for more skis in more models and lengths. Today, Meier Skis has become the World’s First Craft Skiery, which combines retail shopping with an immersive “built before your eyes” experience and an après all day vibe. Our retail ski showroom features a comfortable bar made from our ski cores, and visitors can enjoy a local beer while watching the Meier builders press skis.
We invite you to see our Handmade Skis from Colorado Trees process! Barstool tours of the World’s First Craft Skiery are offered anytime, and happy hour tours with an in-depth look at the ski manufacturing process are offered daily when open at 5:30pm at 1775 S. Broadway in Denver, Colorado.
Our eco-friendly and high performance skis and snowboards get their unique character from our signature aspen and beetle kill pine wood core. We harvest the trees from the western slope of Colorado with responsible silvicultural techniques to help mitigate wildfire risk and give trees killed in the beetle kill pine epidemic a second life! Instead of traditional epoxy, our non-toxic super sap is derived from pine resin and recycled vegetable oil for greener manufacturing. Our extra thick base material and edges to deliver more tunes and more turns over the life of the ski for a long-lasting product with the most sustainable manufacturing practices possible. The final step is our eco-friendly packaging that uses 100% less plastic. We now use a small adhesive band instead of single-use shrink wrap over the entire ski or snowboard.
Choose the model, choose the length for this stunning collection of images from around the Colorado Rocky Mountains! The tips showcase Maroon Bells near Aspen, one of the most photographed scenes in North America. The Colorado flag and “Welcome to Colorful Colorado” sign transition into the iconic Crystal Mill at the tail of our Rocky Mountain High graphic.
Featured here on the Quickdraw, this custom topsheet can be applied to any model of Meier ski or snowboard for MSRP of $995. The Quickdraw is an all-mountain, frontside carver beast and our best seller! It features a wide shovel and narrow waist for quick and effortless edge-to-edge turns. The wide shovel helps the tip float through powder and crush crud while giving the skier a smooth, easy-turning ride. It’s lightweight and nimble but the beetle-kill pine and aspen wood core remains stable at high speeds.
