Wild Rye, creator of women’s mountain apparel featuring fun and whimsical designs, is kicking off their fifth year with a fresh collaboration. Joining forces with Pivot Cycles, the new 3-piece line and riding initiative aims to support women-identifying riders and seeks to open the door for more to join in…and you’re not going to want to miss it!
Since 2016, Wild Rye has sought to create apparel that inspires confidence, with the ultimate goal of getting more women outdoors – a perfect match for a cycling manufacturer/bike company aimed at equipping more riders with the tools to get on the trail. Today, the Wild Rye x Pivot collaboration will continue a mission of inclusivity. Cassie Able, Wild Rye CEO shares “the brands’ shared obsession for design and bringing riders the best ride experience possible, made the idea an immediate ‘hell yes”!
Launching this month, the apparel collection combines the uniquely-Wild Rye style with Pivot’s grown-in-the-desert roots, and includes Wild Rye’s flagship Freel mountain bike short, Mia Tank, and new Edith 5-Panel Camp Hat – all featuring a distinctive roadrunner and cactus print. As Elorie Slater, Pivot Cycles Marketing Director shares, “We test our bikes in some of the harshest riding conditions anywhere…and we feel the roadrunner, known for speed and perseverance in an inhospitable landscape, is a perfect print”. Designed with women’s bodies in mind, their collections are comfortable yet rugged, showcasing great examples of what women’s active apparel can and should be.
Through this collection and the associated, soon-to-come in-person events, Wild Rye and Pivot are helping grow confidence and community while protecting the places where we play, celebrating fresh air and fun, and empowering women across the board. In the end, the ultimate goal, to Abel and Slater “is supporting female-identifying riders…[and] we’re stronger together”.
