NBB Branded Ranger Station at Snowmass

Bar

With snow falling steadily now in the Roaring Fork Valley, it’s the perfect time to head up to Snowmass and pay a visit to the brand new Ranger Station, the first on-area New Belgium Brewery-branded concept bar of its kind.

Located right at the base of Snowmass at Fanny Hill next to the Westin, the The New Belgium Ranger Station officially opened November 27 with 12 NBB beers on tap. From Fat Tire Amber Ale and Ranger IPA to the more esoteric, limited release beers of the Lips of Faith series, extensive New Belgium offerings are accompanied by a full bar along with a skier’s menu of beer-focused food pairings consisting of soups, sandwiches, waffles and pretzels.

The New Belgium Ranger Station is affiliated with New Belgium Brewing of Fort Collins, Colorado, but is owned and operated by Patches O’Houllihan, Inc. “We’ve been inspired by New Belgium’s culture and core values,” said Patches O’Houlihan president Patrick Wasserman. “We’re proud to fly their flag and integrate those ideals of sustainability, community, and fun into our establishment.”

The Ranger Station experience serves up a stylish and welcoming interior space in addition to the adjacent outdoor patio of the Westin Snowmass Resort, which includes an on-slope stage and firepit. The design evokes a mountain ranger station imbued with the contemporary classic flavors of the New Belgium brand. Using local woods and custom furniture seen through a modern lens, the design was conceived and executed by the Reunion and Scout Regalia design teams. The Ranger Station will operate from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week during the winter ski season.

New Belgium Brewing Company began operations in a tiny Fort Collins basement in 1991. Today the third largest craft brewer in the U.S., New Belgium produces nine year-round beers (Fat Tire Amber Ale, Sunshine Wheat, Ranger IPA, Belgo IPA, Shift Pale Lager, Blue Paddle Pilsner, 1554 Black Ale, Abbey and Trippel) as well as a host of seasonal releases. In addition to producing world-class beers, New Belgium is a corporate role model with progressive programs such as employee ownership, open book management and a commitment to environmental stewardship.
