Take a look at some of the unique and active itineraries below that combine historical places, spectacular views and a physical challenge: the perfect mix for an unforgettable and unique adventure that fits you.

Biking in the Sky (with Beer): San Juan Skyway Colorado Adventure
What’s better than riding through the mountains, wafting in the pine and wildflowers? This adventure will have you following the San Juan Skyway, which will take you through historic mining towns and mountain passes. The San Juan Skyway is a 230 mile loop through Colorado’s Southwest Mountains, and along the way you’ll stay at mixes of bed and breakfasts’, local inns and hotels in Colorado’s mining meccas like Durango, Ouray and Telluride. And just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, this loop rewards you with samplings of some of the best craft beer in the state! The San Juan Skyway is within the top 10 most scenic cycling trips in the United States and a must ride for anyone interested in cycling in Colorado.

Sumer Huts: San Juan’s Hiking Hut Traverse
There are more than 200 backcountry huts, lodges and yurts throughout the U.S. and Canada. The ultimate adventure? The Sneffel’s traverse. (Google Hut or Yurt Trips to find more locations). The traverse starts at Last Dollar Pass above Telluride, Colo. and ends in Ouray, Colo. (Hot Springs people!) You can hike through spending one night at each of the four huts, or you can spend an extra day at a hut and bag some of Colorado’s 14ers along the way. Just plan on five to nine miles of alpine hiking trails a day, but the views will be worth all your effort! Make your own course and yurt-hop along to a fantastic story and adventure to be told.

There is no better way to see Colorado in the fall while scampering through the changing aspen leaves!
