Boulder-based campervan builder Geotrek Vans has introduced the Verus, a Class B+ built from the ground up on an all-wheel-drive Mercedes Sprinter 170 cab chassis. This one is designed specifically for travelers who want to stay farther from established campgrounds, for longer.
Geotrek says campervans are becoming less about driving from one campsite to the next and more about creating a self-contained base camp, wherever the adventure finds you along the way. The company built the Verus around that shift with the idea that more capability means more places to go while maintaining a basic level of creature comfort and mobility.

The Verus has a whopping 60 percent more living space than Geotrek’s vans built on the 144-inch Sprinter chassis. It carries 1,000 watts of solar, a 43-gallon freshwater water tank, 60 cubic feet of rear garage storage, and an indoor shower…equipment Geotrek said is specifically for extended stretches away from campgrounds, hookups and other amenities.
Geotrek said this opens up destinations like a remote trailhead, a high-desert campsite, or a stretch of public land hours from the nearest town. The company said the added room is meant for travelers who want to live independently beyond weekend trips or short stretches off grid, without searching for shore power and cumbersome campground reservations. Geotrek described the Verus as part of a shift in the campervan market toward vans that can stretch exploration by weeks and months rather than days, and as occupying a unique and growing space between the traditional Class B+ “van” and larger motorhomes. Having personally tried every option on the market, including owning and renting and testing and touring almost every brand of van build and RV, I definitely see the appeal here.

Geotrek said the Verus is built entirely at its Colorado headquarters and is designed for four-season travel, a huge bonus. The living area is R-11 rated and made of a fiberglass exterior, high-density XPS foam, and interior white fiber-reinforced paneling. Six exterior aluminum storage boxes keep bulky gear outside the living area. The 60-cubic-foot rear garage holds additional storage, along with the outdoor shower, the 43-gallon freshwater tank, and the off-grid battery system.
The 1,000-watt roof array pairs with an EcoFlow Power System, which Geotrek said allows days away from shore power. The alternator charging system fully charges the interior battery in under six hours of drive time.

“We kept hearing from people who loved the way our smaller vans drove and handled, but wanted more room to actually live in them,” said Geotrek co-founder Grant McCrabb. “The Verus came out of listening to those conversations and figuring out how to add that space without losing what people loved about a Class B in the first place.” I drove a Geotrek Sprinter down to Overland Expo this year in Flagstaff and found the quality and innovation of the build to be well above par.
Geotrek co-founder Mark Woodard said the challenge was deciding where every inch should go. “The garage, exterior storage, and larger living area let us move a lot of the bulk that normally takes over a campervan outside of the living space,” Woodard said.
Inside, the Verus has a queen bed, an indoor shower, a full-size Dometic refrigerator/freezer, bamboo countertops, an induction cooktop, deep sink, and a table buildout.

The Verus starts at $198,775. More information at geotrekvans.com/models/verus.
