If you’re one of those people who love to fly fish, or one of those people who don’t like to celebrate Halloween, or both, make sure to check out Fly Fishing Rendezvous from Oct. 31 to Nov. 1 at the Holiday Inn in Lakewood, Colo. The event begins at 8:30 a.m. and goes to 5:00 p.m. both days. Tickets are $4 in advance and $5 at the door.

The Fly Fishing Rendezvous was founded to give Colorado companies, grassroot movements, fly tyers and authors a venue to have an intimate and inexpensive experience with Colorado’s fly anglers. The event’s purpose is to give the masses the ability to learn the sport, and to give people affordable advice, gear and equipment for the sport.

The 34 hour event will have speakers, sponsors, classes, fly tying and casting clinics throughout both days that are guaranteed to give you unrivaled fly fishing advice and tutorials. Clinics will be taught by principal players in Colorado’s Fly Fishing scene such as Pat Dorsey, Greg Garcia and Duane Redford.

Deals on gear will include $1o dozens on trout flies from Ascent Fly Fishing and Colorado proud gear from RepYourWater.

Some speakers of the event include Jonathan Walter from International Federation of Fly Fishers, Peter Stitcher from Ascent Fly Fishing, Elizabeth Russell from Colorado Trout Unlimited and Larry Fivecoats from Project Healing Water.
