Best of the Rockies Runner Up Winery: Vino Salida

Since 2009, Vino Salida has provided Colorado and places beyond with Colorado grown and crafted wine. Infused with Colorado sunshine, laughter and love, Vino Salida is the runner up for best winery in the Elevation Outdoors Magazine Best of the Rockies contest.

Winemaker and owner Steve Flynn founded Vino Salida with a passion for wine, community and with the goal of transforming the craft of wine into an art. The grapes are grown in Palisade, Colo., and when it’s the right time for the grapes to be fermented, they are quickly shipped to Salida to be crushed. White wine is aged in stainless steel barrels and then bottled after 6 to 12 months and red wine is aged in Kentucky oak barrels and then bottled after 8 to 18 months.
